A 26-YEAR-old man arrested in connection with a suspicious death in Taunton has been released under investigation.
Avon and Somerset Police said initial post mortem findings as part of the investigation show he had injuries consistent with an assault.
A police spokesman said: “We are treating the death as suspicious and enquiries are ongoing. A 26-year-old man from Bridgwater, who we arrested in connection with the case, has been released under investigation.”
The investigation launched after the body of a 40-year-old man was discovered at a property in Upper High Street on Monday, November 20.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference number 5217266017 and ask to speak to the Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT).
