THE family of teenager James Willetts who died from a brain tumour are planning a fundraising firewalk in his memory.

His parents Simon and Carolyn Willetts and his siblings Cameron and Madison are tackling the daredevil challenge in support of The Brain Tumour Charity.

Mr and Mrs Willetts have also enlisted the stylists and apprentices at Taunton-based Combers hair salon, where they are directors, to join in and help reach their target of £1,500.

Somerset County Gazette:

James Willetts.

James, 18, who attended Taunton School, died surrounded by his family in September 2015 following a 20-month battle with cancer, despite undergoing pioneering treatment after he was diagnosed with the highly malignant glioblastoma.

The James Willetts Fund was set up by his family to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity, which funds medical research and supports people affected by brain tumours, with more than £38,000 already donated.

More than £400 has so far been pledged in sponsorship for the firewalk on Monday, February 26 - you can donate by clicking here.
