FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a gas scare in Taunton this morning.
Three engines were sent to Priorswood along with an environmental protection unit following reports of a strong smell of gas shortly after 9am.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Upon arrival crews confirmed a strong smell of gas within a building that was believed to have been coming from an external incoming supply.
"All persons were accounted for and a gas engineer was on site.
"Crews used gas detection equipment and a safety jet before handing the incident over to the gas engineer."
