A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Spice following a warrant in Weston-super-Mare.
The warrant, which was under the Misuse of Drugs Act, was executed yesterday (February 21) at a property on Wadham Street.
Officers seized a quantity of what is believed to be Spice – a synthetic substance – and a dozen mobile phones from the address.
The man has since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
Detective Sergeant Grant Boyd said: “Two men have died in recent weeks in Weston-super-Mare after they are believed to have taken Spice.
“Spice can pose a grave risk to people’s health and can even prove fatal and we strongly advise people not to take it.
“We will not tolerate anyone supplying illegal drugs in our communities and will take all necessary action to apprehend those involved in such criminality."
