A WOMAN was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation following a fire in a Taunton home this morning (Thursday).
Fire crews were sent to the incident in a kitchen in South Road shortly before 11am.
They put out the fire using breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet, a safety jet and a covering jet.
The microwave, kettle and toaster were all severely damaged by fire and the kitchen was 50 per cent damaged by smoke.
A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to help clear the smoke from the building.
