CARLEY Elaine Amelia Bussell, 36, of no fixed address, has been handed a community order after admitting eight counts of theft at Taunton Magistrates' Courts.

She was also fined £100 with an £85 victim surcharge and ordered to pay £85 costs for the offences committed in Taunton.

She pleaded guilty to stealing:

  • a £35 DVD player from Sainsbury's, in Billet Street;
  • two vacuum cleaners and a cooker appliance valued at £289.97 from The Range;
  • meat and washing products from the Co-op, in Priorswood Place;
  • clothing from Sports Direct;
  • fragrances from Boots;
  • a frying pan from Wilkinson's;
  • a coat worth £79 from Marks & Spencer;
  • meat from Co-op stores.
