Disco and auction raises charity cash

Comments (0)A DISCO party and auction of promises at St Andrew’s Men’s Club, Taunton, on Saturday raised £734 for Somerset Cancer Care.
The fourth annual event for the charity – which is part of St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice – was organised by Paul Winter, with the help of Sade Rawlins.
Bids of up to £50 were made for promises ranging from a home-baked cake each week for a month to transport to Heathrow Airport.
Annette Finch, from Somerset Cancer Care, said: “We are very grateful to everyone who helped and who donated prizes.”
