MARK Formosa, who is standing for the Conservatives in the next General Election in Taunton, has addressed heads of South-West independent schools.

He spoke at the region Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference at Taunton School.

Mr Formosa said: “I was pleased to be asked to outline my views on education and also talk about what reforms an incoming Conservative Government will be enacting.

“I made special mention of how we will expand teaching by ability, to stretch the strongest and nurture the weakest.

“I also spoke about how we will invest specifically in apprenticeships with a £775m cash injection to give British industry the skilled workforce it desperately needs.”

Mr Formosa was invited to attend by Taunton School headmaster Dr John Newton and his speech was followed by a question and answer session.

Mark Formosa goes back to school. Good. Let's hope he does Double Maths. Why? That's simple. Because much of what he has had to say in the past just doesn't seem to add up.
