PUPILS at Cotford St Luke Primary School got some professional guidance with a Personal Health and Safety Week.
Police Community Support Officer Susan Thompson and Kings Cycles of Taunton gave safety checks on the children's bikes, as well as explaining the dangers of faulty brakes and understanding tyre pressures.
PCSO Thompson and PCSO Tony Wearmouth also gave a Road Safety talk to younger children, including a focus on safe places to cross, how to negotiate pedestrian crossings and general road safety.
PCSO Thompson said: “This was a really worthwhile exercise, as all the children really enjoyed themselves and learnt how they can keep themselves safe at the same time.
“We work regularly with schools in the area to build strong relationships with the local children and their teachers.”
