Comments (0)THE legendary Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car visited Taunton as part of promotional event for a garden centre.
The original car from the film started in the town centre on Saturday before driving - not flying - to his grotto at Monkton Elm Garden and Pet Centre at Monkton Heathfield.
On the way, Santa collected Wiveliscombe schoolgirl Libbey Bingham, who won a competition to ride in the car.
Garden centre general manager Norma Moore said: “More than 1,000 people came to see Libbey, Santa and Chitty arrive. It was a wonderful occasion. We had one of our busiest days of the year.”
