MEMBERS of the public got to take a look at a native woodland being planted in North Curry in the corner of the new recreation ground.
Visitors were able to see volunteers at work and some adopted a tree at Sunday’s event.
Organisers are looking for suggestions for a feature to place in the middle of the woodland, which will include a small orchard and an area of trees that will produce nuts.
People are also being asked for their views on using part of the woodland as a green burial site.
