One arrested following death of Taunton biker

A TAXI driver has been arrested following the death of a 25-year-old motorcyclist in Taunton.

Erik Garland died when the motorbike he was riding was in collision with a people carrier in Bishop’s Hull last week.

Despite efforts to save him Erik died following the incident at the junction of Silk Mills Road and Badgers Close.

His heartbroken parents Adrian and Janet Garland this week paid tribute to their ‘lovely boy’ at the family home in Ladymead Road.

Mrs Garland said: “He'd do anything for anyone. He was very loving and very patient - a lovely boy.”

The taxi driver was released on bail.
