  • "Scenario - Community station pays to be on air by it's own choice, isn't affected by what the pirate is doing because the outputs of both stations are polar opposites, doesn't loose listeners or money. So, unless Rage actually broadcast over you, why complain? Bad mindedness."

A RADIO station operated from a house in Cheddon Road, Taunton has been closed down.

Rage FM, which broadcast on 100.6fm, was raided by Ofcom officials last week.

Equipment was confiscated, but no arrests were made.

After the raid a station listener told the County Gazette: “A lot of people in the street I’ve spoken to are shocked and surprised.

“They thought the station sounded professional and would regularly air local information, and it had a very alternative music format not provided by other stations.
