SEVEN children from Selworthy School in Taunton are celebrating after completing a book . . . and are now looking forward to a special book signing event.

The children, aged nine to 12, from Turquoise class, have provided the text and illustrations for George’s Dragon Adventure with support from their teacher, Jan Vickery.

She said: “The story writing process has bonded the group in ways which could not have been imagined.

“Every child has contributed to the finished story and their pride is evident.”

Proceeds from the sale of the 20-page book will go towards covering printing costs, and any money left over will help the students buy something special for their class.

To buy the book, phone the school on 01823-335935.
