Three Taunton pubs pledge to brighten up town
THREE pubs around the Castle Green development are pledging to brighten up the town at Christmas by funding lights and trees themselves.
The Apple & Parrot, The Drawing Room and The Castle Green Inn will pay for 12 trees and hope that children at nearby primary schools will decorate one each day for the 12 days of Christmas.
Chris Hunt, area manager for the Apple & Parrot and Cafe Mambo, said: “We are inviting all primary schools in Taunton to get in touch and help to decorate the trees, maybe as part of a school project.”
Cafe Mambo is also making a donation towards the cost of Christmas lights in the town centre.
