Poppy Appeal needs YOU Poppy Appeal needs YOU

IF you can spare an hour, a day or more, this year’s Poppy Appeal urgently needs YOU.

For details, attend Saturday’s recruitment day from 9.30am to 4pm by the Market House or call into the Poppy Shop at 1 Church Square, Taunton from October 22 to November 10 (except Sundays) from 10am to 4pm or phone 07585-621769. The shop also sells poppies, wreaths, crosses, wristbands and pin badges.

The official launch of the Somerset Poppy Appeal is on October 17 at midday at Weston-super-Mare beach when organisers will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest human formation of a Poppy.

This year Weston Super Mare is hosting the Poppy launch on the 27th Ocotber,for The County of Somerset and City of Bristol. On the Beach and Beach lawns from 10-30 am.
Our aim is the largest human Poppy with over 300 school children and Cadets forming the poppy. We are also having a Teddy bear parachute jump, with prizes for the winners,there will also be tombola and side stalls
