CONTROVERSIAL plans to build hundreds of homes on Wellington’s outskirts will be aired by borough councillors at Taunton Deane Council’s scrutiny committee meeting on Tuesday.

A project to build 900 homes is expected to be carried out between 2015 and 2030 by developer CG Fry & Son, with 650 of those to be built on the land around Jurston Farm.

Ross Henley, Taunton Deane councillor for Wellington East, said: “I will be there to speak and support residents at the meeting, and I have challenged other councillors to do the same.”
