A BED and breakfast owner near Wellington has appeared on popular Channel 4 TV programme ‘Four in a Bed’.

Liz Cannon, of The Old Dairy at Bishops Barton, took part in the show in which four B&B owners take it in turns to stay at each other’s properties and pay the amount they felt their overnight stay deserved.

At the end of the week the group meets to discuss the pros and cons of their stay, and the overall winner is announced.

Liz, a former IT executive, said: “I’ve always liked the show and decided to apply to appear on ‘Four in a Bed’ in the spring.

“Within eight weeks we were filming.

“We filmed it in May and I thought it was going to be shown in late October, but we were told they’d be showing it this week.”

When the County Gazette asked Liz whether it was worthwhile she said: “I’d have said ‘absolutely not’ straight after the programme because of all the effort it took, but it’s an experience and it helps promote the business.”

The show has been airing this week and the winner will be revealed tomorrow (Friday) at 5pm.
