A 65-YEAR-OLD male was airlifted to hospital today after becoming trapped underneath plant machinery.
The fire service attended the incident at Blackmoor, West Buckland at 3.56pm this afternoon after receiving a call.
The male was found with his ankle and foot trapped underneath the cab of a telehandler which had tipped over.
Fire crews cleared soil and cut away part of cab with hydraulic cutting and spreading gear to allow better access.
The male casualty was released by fire crews using small tools and hydraulic spreading gear.
The casualty was conveyed to hospital by Air Ambulance.
Two fire appliances from Wellington and the rescue tender from Taunton attended the incident.
