CROWDS attended a candlelit shopping experience at a popular farm shop and raised £157 for charity.
Rumwell Farm Shop hosted Rumwell by Candlelight on Thursday, December 11 to raise money for children’s charity Escape Taunton.
Anne Mitchell, owner of the farm shop, said: “It was a fantastic evening. The shop was lit by hundreds of candles.
“There were lots of festive items to tickle the taste buds, too. We would like to thank everyone who helped us raise £157 for Escape Taunton.
“It is a support group, which has been helping children with special needs in the Somerset area for almost 15 years. It provides activities, days out and occasional holidays for the whole family.”
People who attended received a free mulled wine and mince pie on arrival.
The Somerset Hills Ladies’ Choir and Bel Canto, from Wellington School, performed Christmas carols throughout the evening. Solo singer, Camellia Sinclair also entertained visitors.
