A MOTHER of two from Wellington has arranged a table-top sale for parents of young children to ensure unwanted children and baby items do not go to waste.

The new event ‘Baby on a budget’, run by Cara Snow, will be held at Wellington Prep School on Saturday, February 14, 11am-12.30pm – and sells clothes, books, toys and equipment for children from birth up to five years old.

It offers an affordable alternative to high street prices and ensures unwanted children and baby items go to a good home – and items on sale are in excellent condition.

Entry to the event is £1 per person, but a family group of adults can enter for £2 and all children are free.

To continue to support local parents, 25% of the takings on the door will be spent at the sale to buy items for local groups and activities.

The event coordinator Cara Snow said: “It's the perfect place to stock up on all your baby and toddler needs without spending a fortune, from furniture, prams, toys, maternity & baby clothes, books swings, walkers, car seats the list is endless.

“It's also fun way to recycle - it is a fantastic event for all parents and I hope my sale is popular in Wellington as I would like to run one every three months.”
