A PAN left on the hob at a property in Dobree Park, Rockwell Green, Wellington caused alarm for the fire service this morning. Two appliances from Wellington were called to the property at 10.41am after reports of an alarm sounding and a smell of burning through the letter box. When they arrived, they found the property empty so gained access and found that a pan had been left on the hob. It was removed to open air and the area was made safe. Duty of care was left with the occupier when they got home.
