A TRADITIONAL tea dance will help raise money for the refurbishment of the Town Hall in Wiveliscombe, which has stood unused for 57 years.
The Wiveliscombe Town Hall Trust (WTHT), a registered charity, recently took over the lease with the aim of once again using it to benefit the community.
To help raise funds for these works, a group of local people have got together to arrange a traditional Tea Dance at Wiveliscombe Rugby Club on June 21 from 2.30pm-5.30pm.
It will be a fun-filled afternoon with a mix of conventional, modern and sequence dances, as well as a delicious homemade tea of sandwiches, scones, and cakes, all served on vintage china.
Tickets are £10 each to include full afternoon tea and are available in advance from the White Hart, Wivey Hardware and the Community Office in Wiveliscombe.
