PUPILS at St John's Primary School, Wellington, welcomed some unusual visitors to their assembly at the start of their literacy/art enrichment week.
The whole school focused on the theme of Little Red Riding Hood, with each class looking at a different version of the story.
Children took part in a range of writing and art activities, including re-telling the story in a variety of ways, a wolf hunt, story swaps, painting scenes and creating a willow wolf with local sculptor Stefan Jennings.
Gifted and talented pupils worked with budding animator Harry Bayfield to create a video.
The week ended with an open afternoon with parents supporting their children in a variety of art activities.
