POET and children’s author, Tony Mitton stopped by at Wiveliscombe Primary School last week to deliver a workshop to the children.
Tony, who was named winner of the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education CLPE Poetry Award last year, for his atmospheric ballad, Wayland, worked with children in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
A poskesperson for the school said: “We were very lucky to have Tony Mitton, children’s poet and author, visit our school.
“He delivered a lively and entertaining workshop with both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.”
