OLYMPIC silver medalist Louis Smith paid a visit to The Princess Royal Sports Complex in Wellington last week, to host a gymnastics academy.

The centre hosted its their first Louis Smith Gymnastics Academy camp – a three-day camp which ran from July 29-July 31.

The camp was well attended and Louis himself came along to train with the youngsters on July 30.

The gymnastics tour is part of the Activate Sport initiative, which encourages and inspires children to have an active life and participate in a range of sporting activities.

In addition to the Louis Smith Gymnastics academy currently running, there will be an Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy taking place at the Princess Royal Sports Complex from August 3-7.
