WELLINGTON hosted a spectacular start to the Carnival season this weekend as the South Somerset District Circuit kicked off in style.
Thousands lined the town's streets for the evening festivities, which started at Rockwell Green at 7.30pm on Saturday.
There were 60 entries this year, including a new float for the Carnival Queens and a procession of vintage buses.
