A CHARITY concert at Nynhead Court drew a crowd that included MP Rebecca Pow, the deputy mayor, and a former mayor.

The event was held in aid of Nynehead Church and Nynehead Village Hall, with entertainment from Wellington School musicians, the John Paul Jazz Trio, Taunton Deane Morris Men, and local act Malcolm the Magician.

Attending along with Taunton MP Rebecca Pow were Deputy Mayor of Taunton Vivienne Stock-Williams and former Mayor Dave Durdan.

Angela Watkins, manager of Nynehead Court, said, “It was wonderful to see so many people in the grounds enjoying our concert. We would like to thank everyone for attending, and hope that they will visit us again when the sculpture park is open.

“We would also like to thank our musicians, magician and Morris Men for providing the entertainment, and the many suppliers who donated raffle prizes.”

Guests were given a hamper of produce from local suppliers and were able to view the free art exhibition in the Orangery.

They were also treated to a five of sculptures which will form part of Nynehead Court’s Sculpture Park, which is due to open in Spring 2016.
