YEAR 1 children and their parents at St John's Primary School, Wellington, took part in a family maths workshops based on shapes and measures.
The pupils enjoyed engaging with their parents to make a shape kite, carefully following instructions and working as part of a team.
The highlight of the event, run by Somerset Skills and Learning, was going outside to fly their kites in perfect wind conditions.
