THE opening event for the new Bathroom Village showroom on Blackdown Trading Estate in Wellington proved popular.
There were special offers for customers and experts on hand from key suppliers.
The Mayor of Taunton Clolr Marcia Hill went along to welcome the business to Wellington with the cutting of a cake alongside managing director Steve Hawkins.
For those keen to escape the weather and enjoy a drink on the top deck bar, the Burlington Bathrooms red bus was parked outside providing an extension to the showroom with additional bathroom products and furniture.
The vintage Routemaster was popular with old and young alike and attracted an ex-Routemaster driver who brought his grandson along to experience the nostalgia.
You couldn't miss the apple dragon of Somerset's Dragon Trail at the entrance to the showroom, though he got a bit of a soaking from Wellington's wet weekend.
He has found a permanent home Bathroom Village and he will continue to be on display for all to enjoy.
Mr Hawkins said: "I couldn't believe the Mayor actually climbed in one of our baths for a photo."
Bathroom Village will be supporting the Mayor's nominated charity and are looking forward to working more with Mrs Hill.
