AN exhaustive record of items in St Peter's Church has been completed after a marathon three-year project.
Church Recorders, who are volunteers from the West Somerset branch of the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Society, have produced a written and photographic record of the memorials, metalwork, stonework, woodwork, textiles, paintings, windows, libraries and other items in church.
The team, headed by Lucy Devitt, has now presented the completed documents to the vicar, the Rev Alan Ellacott and churchwardens Lynne Wyatt and Trevor Pritchard.
The finished work can be used by Church authorities as a record, police in cases of stolen artefacts, insurance companies and researchers.
