A FOOLISH night-time prowler on the roof of a care home bizarrely left a calling card when he scarpered after being spotted by a resident.
He dropped details of a name and address, shoes, keys and a bag with a trace of drugs during the incident at Pulsford Lodge, Wiveliscombe, on Saturday.
A man turned up at the following day just as police and scenes of crimes officers were on site investigating the offence.
He asked for the return of the belongings left behind the previous night and was promptly arrested on suspicion of two assaults in the town's High Street and criminal damage.
Police say a 25-year-old man was later questioned and then released on bail pending further enquiries.
Anyone with any information should call 101 and speak to PC Jo Jeffrey, quoting log number 5215060913.
