YEAR 10 students at Kingsmead School, Wiveliscombe, took part in 30-minute careers taster sessions.
They learned about industries as diverse as construction, retail, engineering and the Army.
Visitors provided students with a detailed overview of their employment to enable them to make better informed career decisions.
It comes at a crucial time, as Year 10 are starting the process of information gathering prior to making post-16 training decisions.
