FANS of Wellington Wheelers’ annual ten mile time trial will be pleased to know it will take place on Thursday evenings throughout summer.

The Time Trial is a fully accredited, timed, race event which takes place on a route between Wiveliscombe and Milverton and kicks off this Thursday, May 5.

The first rider will be off at 7.15pm, but all cyclists wishing to ride will need to be signed on, with a number, on the starting line for 7pm.

If you would like to participate, let Charles Biscoe (wellywheelers@gmail.com) know before hand or alternatively you can sign-on on the day.

If you are planning to do this we recommend you arrive early to allow extra time to sign-on and warm up.

Riders will race west towards Wiveliscombe, go around the roundabout there, back to Milverton and around that roundabout, back to Wiveliscombe and around that roundabout for a second time and then finish close to the start in the direction of Milverton.

There is a full route map available to view on the Wellington Wheelers’ website.

Race times will be displayed on the whiteboard straight after the race and also published on the Wellington Wheelers’ website the next day.

Races will take place every other Thursday evening beginning 5 May.

The dates will be as follows:

  • May 5 and 19
  • June 2, 16 and 30
  • July 7 and 21
  • August 4 and 18

(Dates into September will be reviewed depending on the light conditions).
