THE village is looking a lot cleaner after a group of charitable volunteers went round and cleared the streets of rubbish.

Helped by PCSO Louise Fyne, people tackled a litter-pick around different areas, producing several bags of litter.

Volunteers from Halcon in Taunton also dropped by to help people in Creedwell Orchard clear out their unwanted items.

Two giant skips were filled in the clean-up, and Cllr Jane Warmington, who holds the community leadership brief at Taunton Deane Council, said: “The team has tackled quite a few community clean-up days recently, and I know how hard everyone works.

“Their efforts are really appreciated by the community.”
