CHILDREN in West Somerset have been enjoying summer play schemes, thanks to Magna and charity Creating Learning Opportunities in West Somerset (C.L.O.W.N.S.).

Magna, the housing association, donated £1,000 towards the 12 days of play schemes organised by the charity.

Neil Bliss, community involvement officer at Magna West Somerset said: “C.L.O.W.N.S relies on donations and the community improvements group were happy to donate £1000 towards the play scheme project.”

Kathy Morton, manager at C.L.O.W.N.S, said: “The children do a maximum of two sessions a week to keep it fresh and interesting.

“It is very popular so we allocate the places on a first come, first served basis until all the places are filled. “The donations we receive, including Magna’s, help us to continue the work we do in the community.”
