DULVERTON Films will screen The Railway Man in Dulverton Town Hall on Friday, December 19, at 7.30pm.

The screening was due to take place on November 14, but due to a power failure it had to be re-arranged – people can use their November tickets.

The film, starring Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman, tells the story of a former British Army officer, tormented as a prisoner of war at a Japanese labour camp during the Second World War, who discovers that the man responsible for much of his ill treatment is still alive and sets out to confront him.

Tickets cost £3 for Dulverton Film members, £4.50 for adults and £2.50 for students in full-time education, available from Dulverton Post Office, on 01398-323474 or Jan Ross at janaross2003@yahoo.co.uk

Tickets may be available on the door.
