GOOD things come to those who bait . . . reservoirs in Somerset ended the 2014 fishing season on a record-breaking high.

Clatworthy Reservoir on Exmoor saw a record number of anglers with the largest five-fish limit tipping the scales at 28lbs 1oz.

John Clasby, fisheries and sources manager at Wessex Water, which owns the reservoir, said: “This year was very successful and it’s fantastic to see anglers of all abilities coming back again and again.

“In 2015 we’ll continue to stock a range of different varieties of trout and char and we’ll be starting up an end of year competition alongside our current yearly competitions.

“Our sites offer some of the most amazing views as they’re in some of the most picturesque locations.”
