LAST weekend (March 21 and 22) Somerset experienced the lowest tides it has seen in 200 years.
People in Minehead gathered at the beach to join Somerset Wildlife trust and Exmoor National Park Authority for some fun exploring the wildlife usually hidden by the tide.
Donning their wellies, and with their curious minds, they rambled along the rock pools seeking out the wildlife along Somerset's curious coast.
The event was part of the Trust's developing Living Coast programme which is linking with local communities, industry, business and tourism sectors to raise the profile of the wealth of natural assets found along this stretch of coastline, and to highlight the benefits that the natural world brings to our health and wellbeing.
