DUNSTER Castle had a bit of a chocolatey mishap over the Easter weekend – its Alice in Wonderland chocolate Easter egg hunt proved so popular it ran out of eggs on the second day.
A message on the National Trust website said: “The Easter bunny has made off with all our Cadbury chocolate Eggheads, so we have none left!
“We’d like to apologise for any disappointment this might cause.”
But never fear, the eggs were replaced with other chocolate goodies so the trail could continue on Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.
The message also said: “The trail, we think, is one of the best we’ve done.”
There were plenty of other things to do at the castle, such as target practice on the shooting range – the photos here were taken by County Gazette photographer STEVE RICHARDSON on his Easter travels.
