MINEHEAD Merlins are riding high after receiving their club mark certificate from Will Newton the British cycling area coach.

The certificate means the club has everything in place to ensure that children are safe and able to develop within the club. There was a special thanks to Paul Butcher who was the driving force behind the move.

The Club has also seen riders achiev personal success in the last few weeks with Luke Reeder gaining several 3rds and William Dibble winning 3rd overall in the East Devon Circuit series under 12 category after a strong ride to gain 3rd place in the final race of the series earlier this month.

William was also awarded the Pendray cup for sporting endeavor by Danesfield School for completing the 56 mile coast to coast ride in May.

Will Newton spoke to the riders and encouraged them to keep working towards there goals, and said the club had already developed well in it’s first year.
