THERE was the famous father of a famous politician, a vicar who got soaked and enough cream teas to feed the whole of 40 Commando.
The Dulverton Summer fete delivered its usual mix of family fun along with the unusual and the unexpected.
Stanley Johnson, father of London mayor, Boris, and a local resident, opened the day which was held at All Saints First School in Fishers Mead.
Amongst the many activities on offer, were 40 Commando Royal Marines from Taunton who brought along a collection of military vehicles.
Other attractions included some exotic residents from Exmoor Zoo, the Exmoor Pony Centre, the South Molton Town Band, a Tudor Dance Group, a childrens fancy dress competition, the School Choirs from Dulverton and East Anstey, a Bouncy Castle and face painting.
For those feeling a little peckish, there was plenty of food on offer including a hog roast and cream teas.
