ONE unfortunate soul required the RNLI's help at the Raft Race, and he wasn't even competing in the race!
Minehead's D class lifeboat was called just before Sunday's Raft Race to rescue a gentleman stuck in the mud by the harbour entrance with the tide coming in.
Some quick thinking by the crew and with loan of a mattress from the 'Bouncy Castle' man, the gentleman, believed to be in his seventies, was safely recovered.
