THERE were a few extra treats for the ponies - as well as staff and volunteers - at the Exmoor Pony Centre's 9th birthday celebrations.
The centre in Dulverton promotes and protects the endangered rare-breed Exmoor pony and has helped over 500 since it was founded.
Based in the heart of Exmoor National Park, the centre has around twenty permanent residents.
A centre spokes woman said: "We had a lovely day to mark our birthday and look forward to many more. We'd like to thank all our staff and volunteers who give up their time all year round.
"We are always looking for more volunteers, donations and people looking to adopt a pony."
