WEST Somerset residents got the chance to know their neighbours through a series of summer events held by a local housing association.
Staff and residents from Magna Housing organised a programme of varied activities, including barbecues, family fun days and vintage tea parties.
They invited people from their communities, who had no connection with Magna, to join in the fun.
Barbara Mullan, community services manager, said: “We know that having good neighbours can make a real difference to people being happy with where they live.
“People who have good neighbours are less likely to feel lonely and isolated and they are more likely to sustain their tenancies. They feel happier and we feel we have a good tenant. That is a good outcome for everyone.”
