MINEHEAD residents showed their commitment to cleanliness by turning out for the annual Beach Spring Clean.
The volunteers turned out on Sunday, April 17 and showed real community spirit by giving up their time to help clean the seaside, all with smiles on their faces.
The clean was organised by UK Surfers Against Sewage, who provided bags and gloves for the group when they met up at Culvercliffe.
Cllr Martin Dewdney, Lead Member for the environment at West Somerset Council, said: “The clean-up in Culvercliffe by Surfers Against Sewage is a fantastic example of volunteers working for the good of their community.
"Their efforts on the beach clean were greatly appreciated by residents, businesses and the local authority. We would like to thank them for their work, enthusiasm and readiness to roll up their sleeves!”
