FIREFIGHTERS released a woman trapped in a car following a crash in Warren Road in Minehead this afternoon.
The air ambulance, two fire engines, the police and a road ambulance attended the two car collision in Warren Road car park along the seafront in Minehead at 5.50pm.
The woman suffered a possible leg fracture and was airlifted to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton by the Air Ambulance.
A spokesman for Devon and Someret Fire and Rescue said: "On arrival crews confirmed that one female was trapped inside and got to work stabilising the vehicle and awaiting arrival of the ambulance service to assess the casualty."
"Air ambulance and road ambulance attended the incident and crews used hydraulic cutting gear to release the casualty. Duty of care was left with police and ambulance."
