A WOMAN was taken to hospital after burning her hands and suffering from smoke inhalation following a canister fire in Minehead.
Firefighters attended the incident which occurred on Hopcott Lane, Minehead around 2.30pm on Tuesday, August 30.
On arrival the crew confirmed this was a commercial vehicle that was well alight, and a second fire engine was called for.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "A female on scene had received burns to her hands and was suffering from smoke inhalation, she was later conveyed to hospital.
"The vehicle was extinguished using two breathing apparatus wearers and a hose reel jet. A thermal imaging camera was also used to check for hotspots."
