FIREFIGHTERS were called to help deal with a petrol leak in Minehead earlier today.
The crew was called to Vulcan Road shortly before 11am to reports of a vehicle leaking petrol and requested a second appliance for the use of a gas detector.
A Hazardous Materials and Environment Pollution Officer also attended this incident to provide advice and guidance.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used the gas detector to identify and stem the gas leak using small tools.
"Care of the vehicle was left with the owner who was awaiting recovery."
