THE road is partially blocked after a crash in Minehead.
Police were called at 8.16am to reports of a crash on Cher off Hopcott Road in Minehead.
An elderly man was freed from a vehicle by the fire service after becoming trapped and suffered minor injuries.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called at 8.16am after reports of a crash in Minehead.
"It was a single vehicle crash.
" An elderly man was trapped inside his vehicle and was freed by fire crews.
"He was treated for minor injuries at the scene by paramedics."
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "We were called at 8.17am to reports of a crash on Hopcott Road.
"Two fire appliances from Minehead mobilised to the incident.
"An elderly man was trapped in his vehicle on a steep bank in a precarious position.
"Crews set to work to free the casualty using hydraulic cutting equipment.
"Once the casualty was extricated and in the care of paramedics crews set to work moving the car off the bank using a winch and small tools."
